Amos 4:13 “He who forms the mountains, creates the wind, and reveals his thoughts to man, he who turns dawn to darkness, and treads the high places of the earth—the Lord God Almighty is his name.”*
I’ll take those thoughts, Lord,
though I don’t see
why you’d share them…with me?
Yet, that’s what it says
and your word is true.
So, here I sit waiting,
yes…my soul waits for you.
Psalm 130:5 “I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope.”*
Sometimes passages from different books of the Bible mesh together and complement one another—such is the case in the December 11 reading of The One Year Bible. In Amos we read how the Creator reveals his thoughts to man. Meanwhile, the Psalmist waits for the Lord. They both knew where to put their hope.

Since I use The One Year Bible for part of my daily reading too, I also enjoyed this portion–and I too am waiting eagerly, even desperately, to hear His thoughts tonight. He is so good. God bless you abundantly–love, sis Caddo
