a strong tower

Proverbs 18:10 “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” (NIV)*

When enemy threatens

storm clouds loom–

fear creeps up

the stairs to my soul.

…..

There is a haven

of solace and rest–

a strong tower

where timid can go.

…..

Calling his name

strengthens in battle–

settles the heart,

returns to whole.
