Psalm 119:89 “Your word, O Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.” (NIV)*
Your Word
…..
It’s written
in stars spread
on an endless unlined tablet.
Moon beams exclaim the risen one
his glory highlighted by sun rays.
The word standing steady
in heavenly cadence,
stays.
…..
Earth, but a dot
ending an eternal sentence
that reads I love you.
…..
It’s scripted
in the ordered contents
on pages of mountains and valleys
and chapters of oceans and seas.
Written in long hand
bound in forever
dedicated to you,
and to me.
…..

The Psalmist recognized forever. The Word was in the heavens standing firm. Just as from the very beginning, the Word was there.
And then, Jesus came to earth bringing eternal life. Using lines of love, He connected those stars with the dot of earth. Forever became possible for all through knowing him.
John 17:1-2 “After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: ‘Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him.'” (NIV)*
