Psalm 105:41 “He opened the rock, and water gushed out; like a river it flowed in the desert.” (NIV)*
I’d like to step over those rocks and move on to green pastures. Or, couldn’t he simply make the landscape rock free?
The rock that doesn’t budge is exactly where he wants to work. There’s life-giving water waiting for the redeemer’s tap.
Water gushes like a river when he taps rocks in desert places. He provides water not only for ourselves, but for other thirsty souls along the way.
Stuck in a desert dry, sun-scorched place? Surrounded by rocks and unable to move on to green pastures?
Let the rocks be tapped. Ask God to bring change into difficult situations. Good from bad. Life from death. Water from a rock. Step over the rock and you’ll miss blessings hidden under that rock solid surface.
And may that desert place be transformed into a lush, green, fertile valley of life-giving water.

Wonderful word, Patty!! The photo looks so refreshing (I was too hot yesterday!)–now that I’m older and wiser (or, getting there) I’m seeing the value of “waiting on the Rock”, rather than stepping over the annoying stones in my path. God bless you BIG–love, sis Caddo
