Psalm 95:3-5 “For the Lord is the great God, the great king above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.” (NIV)*
Come with Me to the mountain peaks
We’ll watch the eagles soar.
Come ride the waves of a dolphin parade
As the oceans surge and roar.
………………..
Come with Me to a rainforest laden
We’ll find creatures rarely seen.
Come find drink in a desert place
Hidden in prickly canteens.
………………..
Come with Me to the mountain peaks
High above tree tops tall.
There’s perspective there you need to see
The Lord God is over all.

Sometimes, it helps to remember He is Creator. Ultimately, He is in control. All creation is the art of his fingertips. The earth’s interior, the highest mountains, the seas and lands…it all belongs to Him. Sigh.
Go in peace and enjoy what his hands have created.

Last week as I travelled through the Himalayas, this psalm was very much in my heart. Wish I had your beautiful poem with me to stimulate grater worship. Thanks for bringing back to me the awe and wonder of the mountain tops.
