Sifted thoughts

Psalm 94:11 “The Lord knows the thoughts of man; he knows that they are futile.” (NIV)*

God has provided a sifter for our futile thinking…His Word. It’s a grid for unfiltered thoughts to be poured through. Clumps of lies and worthless ideas can be sorted out and thrown away. The result? A bowl full of sifted thoughts.

Thoughts of mine

Skew off path

Futile ambitions

Are selfish driven.

………………..

When sifted through

His blessed word

Chaff is tossed

Worthless ways lost.

………………..

Thoughts of Him

Can be trusted true

His purposes fed

When Spirit led.

Think of the nourishing bread to be offered when believers allow themselves to be sifted through the Word.
