That home

Luke 16:9 “…use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.” (NIV)*

Oh, that our home

Would be always ready,

A haven of rest

A place of peace

A loaf of bread and a tall cool drink.

………………..

A place to stay

When there’s nowhere to go,

Doorbell broken

Welcome mat torn

A table top used, well-loved and worn.

………………..

That others know, “Thy kingdom come”

That they may hear, “Thy will be done,”

Music playing

To His praise

Thankful hearts set to pray.

………………..

Lord, make our house that home

Where weary hearts no longer roam.
