Psalm 57:2 “I cry out to God most High, to God, who fulfills His purpose for me.” (NIV)*

Sometimes my purpose seems so very small. Inconsequential in the whole scheme of things. Surrendering all sounds good on Sunday, not so much on Thursday.

Then, I remember Jesus. He fulfilled His Father’s purpose. He came to serve. Whom do I live for? Whom do I please?

So yes, Lord, fulfill your purpose in my life today. Replenish my soul, renew my spirit and live through me. Your very life was serving.

Let me be a listening ear

Eyes of compassion

Heart of grace.

Let me be serving hands

Feet that follow

Voice of praise.

Let me be surrendered

Your purposes fulfill

today.
