God is for me

Psalm 56:9 “Then my enemies will turn back when I call for help. By this I will know that God is for me.” (NIV)*

How long does the battle rage before remembering to call for help? How many casualties? The trick is to call for help early. The power of God to turn the tide of battle dwells with those who trust in Him. Victory rests with our Lord.

Stay in the battle, but do cry for help. Then, keep an eye out for divine intervention. Prepare for the enemy’s retreat.

It’s time for the hard-to-please image of God we carry around in our heads to melt…dissolve into His true self. Let the enemy’s retreat be a sign that God hears and answers. He’s on my side. God is for me.

How different would life be if lived in the realization that God is for me? I would be more willing to believe, follow, and step out in faith knowing the Creator of the universe is on my side. He’s not the enemy.

I want to know the reality of His presence and to live as if He’s for me…because He is.
