Taste and See

Psalm 34:8 “Taste and see that the Lord is good…” (NIV)*

English: Clusters of Shiraz, or Syrah grapes. ...

Clusters of Shiraz (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

I’ve tasted joy in the morning

Light in the dark.

I’ve tasted fruit though barren

Friends when lonely.

………………..

I’ve tasted water in dry places

Grace covering ashes.

I’ve tasted shelter in storms

Strength though weak.

………………..

I’ve tasted comfort in sorrow

Words when blank.

I’ve tasted rest for the weary

Hope filling empty.

………………..

I’ve tasted of the Lord

And found Him good.

Over and over again

He is good.
