perfection fell down

to the man-trodden ground.

for this cup to be taken

his soul did cry

could this plan…

be revised?

if  divinity can honestly

pour heart’s plea

how much more then

dirt-shaped me.

……….

Jesus’ honesty took nothing away from his obedience. It was that crux of a moment when he put it out there and bared his soul to his Father. He owned a deeper determination to follow through with the Father’s plan.

If a holy Jesus bared his honest soul—then surely, so can I.
