Oh, that You would create something when there's nothing in me. Do Your thing, wonderfully.
Less of me allows more of You. I must decrease, and You must increase.
The goal, to be no longer empty, but filled with thee.
Lord, where I am weak, be strong. Where I am blind, help me to see. Where I am discouraged, lift me up and where I trip, teach me, please. As you filled the empty sky with galaxies that extend further than eye can see, so too, fill the void in me. Replace the emptiness with thee.
In Jesus name, Amen.
"I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10 NIV).
I'm Patty, writer of the devotional blog, Beside Quiet Waters. I love writing, reading and taking long walks with my camera. I've been married to my loving husband for 40 years. We have two grown sons, two lovely daughters-in-law, and two amazing grandchildren. I am thankful for a place to share spilled ink, in hopes of encouraging others to find daily hope and inspiration in God's Word.
