Walk with Me

“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.” Psalm 24:1 NIV

Walk with me today, Lord,
Walk with me today.

Where there is good soil,
I pray good seeds to sow.
When the day gets too crammed full —
Pruning shears, please.

Where fruit sits ripe and ready,
I pray buckets for the harvest.
If chaos ensues —
Do quiet me.

Where light lingers long,
I pray to work with purpose.
And when night settles dark —
Grant Your perfect peace.

Walk with me today, Lord,
Walk with me today.

The Lord gave us a beautiful earth to enjoy. He didn’t have to make it beautiful with plants, flowers, animals, birds, and fish, yet . . . He did. From the softness of the morning sunrise, through the heat of the day, and into the dark of night, He wants involvement in our daily lives and relishes communion with us.

The Lord placed us on this beautiful earth to fulfill His purposes. We get to be participants with Him. When we've put our faith in Him, as we go about our day, we can trust that He is leading. The people we bump into, the needs we encounter, the little and big things we do, He wants us to do in cooperation with Him. Step by step as His Spirit leads.

Thank you, Lord, for the beautiful earth we call home. You outdid yourself in creating it. Thank you that I get to be part of your kingdom work. Fulfill your purposes through me this day. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
