A higher rock

Psalm 61:2 “…lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” (NIV)*

And don’t we all need a rock higher than ourselves—a place to climb and find rest from the routines and stresses of life? A place to find refuge and be strengthened for the journey ahead?

If a rocky crag is there along the path—find the footing, grasp the hand holds and step up to a higher plane—a solid, secure rock of a place.

From there the bigger picture can be seen and encouragement given to keep moving forward. Everyone needs a break.

Isaiah 26:4 “Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the Rock eternal.” (NIV)*
