When arrows fly

Psalm 28:7 “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped…” (NIV)*

When arrows fly around me

as troubles march my way,

oh, that I’d trust the Savior —

a strength and shield always.

…..

Pride must fall dethroned

when enemy closes in,

for help waits with my Savior —

strength is found in him.

…..

And yes, at times I falter

and fail to seek his face,

yet, my Savior does not leave —

it’s then he pours unending grace.
