if someone offered forever,

extended bread

and a brimming cup–

would i accept the offer

and with that someone sup?

if someone offered healing,

to a tattered

broken down soul–

would i believe his word

partake and be made whole?

………………..

if someone offers heaven,

arms bearing

bread and wine–

would i taste the sweetness

of a forever by and by?
