Streaming peace

Gushing grace

Living water,

Faithful and true.

Birthed in love

Growing in joy

Rippling hope,

Patience when due.

Sharing kindness

Giving good

Flowing gently,

Self-controlled too.

Spring of water welling,

Forever spilling you.

He is the spring of living water. For the poem, I used the fruit of the Spirit (see Galatians 5:22-23) as springing forth, or, welling up to eternal life. Once we drink of him, life has meaning. He becomes a spring of encouragement…forever connecting us with him and refreshing others.

(John 4:14 is from the May 5th reading of The One Year Bible.)
