Soul’s Rest

Psalm 62:1 “My soul finds rest in God alone…” (NIV)*

IMG_0437

My soul finds rest in God alone

Not God and family, friends or home

Not God plus exercise, fitness and health

Not God and money, possessions or wealth

Not God plus books, music or shows

Not God and writing, poetry or prose

Not God plus wardrobe, style or fashion

Not God and hobbies, job or passion

God alone satisfies the soul

My soul’s rest is in God, and God alone.

Any one or more of these “things” can be off kilter and we can still have rest with God. But if we have everything perfect in all these areas and no peace with God, there will be no true rest.
