A vineyard waiting

Mark 12:1 “…A man planted a vineyard…Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and went away on a journey.” (NIV)*

Grape Vines

A vineyard sits waiting

Such is the kingdom of the Lord

A harvest begs preparing

Bounty aching to be stored.

………………..

From those in tenant places

The owner asks belief, respect

Tending, pruning, bearing fruit

He’s coming again, always expect.

………………..

Laboring with great purpose

Pressing grapes for eternal wine

Planning abundant harvest

Stewards, of the everlasting vine.

Check out Mark 12:1-11 from today’s One Year Bible reading for the complete story of the tenants who mistreated the owner’s servants, killed his son, and didn’t provide a harvest of fruit. Oh, that I be found faithful!

Mark 11:9 “What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will…give the vineyard to others.” (NIV)*
