Icing on the Cake

He’s topping on sundaes

Bright spot of day,

Holding life together

Icing on the cake.

He’s flavor in coffee

Sweetness of soul,

Rising bigger than life

Like pie a la mode.

He’s fizz in soda

Joy in routine,

 Making treasure known

Ice cream with praline.

When finding delight

in ways of the Lord,

Heart’s desires are met

Beating, with one accord.
