Sparrow Wings

Matthew 10:31 “So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” (NIV)*

Fear grips…

When opportunity beckons to something new,

When wanting to help, yet knowing not what to do.

When saying no to good and choosing what’s best,

When waiting diagnosis of x-rays and tests.

When standing up and speaking for causes just,

When worry consumes, overshadowing trust.

Fear would have me grip the branch and not try,

Lord, grant me faith to flap sparrow wings, and fly.

Matthew 10:29 “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.” (NIV)*
