Shake the Dust

Matthew 10:14 “If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town.” (NIV)*

IMG_0366When all that can be done is done, and all that can be heard has been said, it may be time to move on.

When obedience was met with crossed arms and closed ears, it may not only be time move on, but time to let go. Time to shake the dust off your feet.

Dirt covered soles would drop dirt at the next place…leaving a trail of grudges and regrets in once welcoming hearts.

So take some time to shake the dust. Forgive, give thanks, and let the dirt be recycled by God.

Then, with feet shaken dust free, step forward.
